What MOQ Really Means
MOQ is the factory break-even point for setup, dyeing and line changeover. It is a cost structure, not an arbitrary barrier.
Typical MOQ Tiers
Standard hijab MOQ is 100 pcs per style per colour. Custom prints usually require 300 to 500 pcs due to screen or roller setup cost.
Negotiating Lower MOQ
Mixed-colour orders within one fabric and style often qualify for the same tier. Ask specifically rather than assuming the answer is no.
When to Accept Higher MOQ
If unit price drops 15 percent or more at the next tier and you can sell through within two seasons, the higher tier usually wins.
Avoiding Dead Stock
Never place your entire budget into one style. Spread across three to five styles even if it means slightly higher per-unit cost.
